I got this blouse at the TWB Souk a few weeks ago. I love a good bargain! Vintage is fast become the trend in Nigeria and I’m loving it. I recently discovered Toseki Vintage (well not so recent but anyway…)and I love that their pieces are affordable and very rare; their pieces are most definitely one of a kind. Le Petit Marche is one probably one my favourite events of the month. We’ve blogged about it here on SBQ so many times but I can’t get enough of it! There’s always something new and there’s always a great bargain. Last month I think I overspent just a tad. I went a bit over board with blouses, tshirts, vintage AND organic skin products! One of my favourite Nigerian labels – REPUBLIC OF FOREIGNER. I got myself a gorgeous blouse from this collection. Hopefully I find somewhere to where it to so I can blog it and you guys can see…

Your favourite online Vintage store, Virgos Lounge presents the “Peacock Collection” -Spring 2011. This is our favourite collection of theirs so far; the colours are simply exquisite and the entire collection exudes glamour. This collection pushes…

I bought these items separately but I love that they both have the similar woven leather effect. I love Fashion Week and all the joy it brings! Although I didn’t have my other half, Tobi, with me today  to participate in this joy, I think I represented SBQ well (I hope!). I think this is my favourite picture from today. (Taken by Yimika) Street style is one of our favourite things at Style By Queens. Mainly because we discover so many fashionable people and also because it’s a great way to meet people to learn a lot from. The beautiful Ore -one half of the duo behind Lipstick Boudoir. LOVE the turban! (Jacket – Zara, Turban -Vintage)…

IT’S FASHION WEEK EVERYONE! We’re so excited. Look out for our daily videos and pictures from tomorrow. We also have a lot of Street Style coming up as well as exclusives from runway shows! Before then, check out our friend Foluke, who we like to call the “D.I.Y. Queen”. Foluke made this clutch using sinamay (which is used primarily for making hats) and African fabric (known as Aso-Oke) for the lining. She also completely transformed these shoes from Primark by hand stitching the red ornaments… Do you have such amazing DIY skills? Send SBQ  a picture of your work and we’ll put it up…
