We just discovered the gorgeous label that is Pearl 11 30 recently and we love that the pieces exude individuality! We particularly love their use of colour. Here’s an excerpt from the label’s profile:
“… The brand offers affordable ready to wear and tailored outfits that are produced to the highest quality standards. The brand personifies sophistication, class and timeless elegance. We consider the instinct and everyday needs of practical life; from dresses to skirts, jackets to tops to shirts, pants to jumpsuits, glamour combined with classy chic for play as well as work.
The use of color plays a major role in each of our collection which can be described as an eclectic range of simple but quirky details made with iconic mix of colored Print fabrics, Raw Silk, Linen, Chantilly & Guipure Lace, Damask, Jacquards, Taffeta, Organdi, Chiffon and Organza…”
Their collection Belle du Jour is full of colour and very vintage-like pieces.
Inspiration for the collection:
The collection is called Belle De Jour (IT Girl) and was inspired by the imagination to style a city chic in Lagos. We looked back at the effortlessly slick 70s’, feminine chic of the 50s’ with a modern twist by staying true to the use of vibrant colours, novelty prints, simple shapes and neutral palette.
Signature elements of the collection:
The collection features super long drapes, flare bottom jumpsuits, palazzo pants, color block shift dresses, Kimonos, rushed dresses and lacey jackets & dresses.
We made use of Chiffon, Silk, Chantilly Lace, Linen and Organdi Fabrics, consciously staying away from the popular African fabric.
