Black is my favourite colour. It just works with everything; it’s classic and it’s elegant (the latter depends on how it’s worn). Saturday was a good day, but also a “black” day. I was in a bit of weird mood -tomboy meets grunge meets “lady”.
My “gold chain” is actually a hair-band that I have now put to good use.

I haven’t had a Saturday this busy since…. well, never! Yesterday, my friend Ronke got married and my other friend Leila turned 25.
I had plans to wear a particular dress to the wedding but the zipper popped (these things happen right?), so I had to run out to find an outfit. I decided to get the Silk Twist Wrap Dress from Tiffany Amber. This is a dress I had actually been saving up for, for a while and I decided this wedding was a good reason to finally get it.
I absolutely love, love, love, this dress. It’s so elegant and classy!

We’re not sure if our love for Karl Lagerfeld here at SBQ is all the way healthy.
After so many sneak peeks, we finally have the whole collection.
The collection went on sale this morning at Net-a-Porter. The pieces range in price from $50 for a canvas tote to a littleover $1,000 for leather pieces.We love that the collection is mainly black & white, very “Karl”. Masculine collection with feminine touches to keep that it theme of elegance running. We are in love.

creative director Adebayo Oke-Lawal’s second release since the labels

Elusive Strength
The elusive strength collection was created for the Fab Night Out in
conjunction with Vlisco. Fabrics include Vlisco, leather, lace and
chiffon. The collection is about a misunderstood type of feminine
strength, a strength empowered by a woman’s sexuality. It celebrates a
woman who understands and owns her beauty and the power that it
possesses, thus why the pieces are sexy, strong, but still very
feminine.

Summer’s Quirk
The summer’s quirk collection was created for the Beth Model Search
organized by Martini. The fabrics include chiffon, cotton, ankara,
cuordroy, chinos and the likes. The collection is inspired by a very
easy and colorful summer, its definitely for a fun loving guy, a guy
filled with life, definitely a guy with a colorful disposition,
rocking pieces suited to different fashionable summer experiences.

Our favourite store, Virgos Lounge released yet another collection today. Tobi and I cannot get enough of Virgos Lounge. This collection is slightly different from their previous collections but they did not steer too far away from their usual aesthetic and we love that.
We already have favourites and we’re totally loving the “Glam Grunge” look, we could’t have picked a better name for this collection.
